Dr. Marcin Bela is a Polish-American pianist, composer, author, and music educator. His mysterious and haunting, yet calm and soothing piano-based compositions build a bridge between neoclassical music and ambient medicine music. His live performances are partly improvised sound- and story-telling journeys, which function equally well in medical conferences, wellness retreats, and traditional concert venues.
Marcin has worked with a vast array of musicians, Estas Tonne to Mikky Ekko, to members of Boston Symphony Orchestra, Sphinx Virtuosi, Dream Theater, and Beats Antique, at venues ranging from Lutoslawski Hall of the National Polish Radio and Ozawa Hall at Tanglewood, to Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, to the Fractal Nation Stage at Burning Man. His music has been featured in theater, film, and television, and received numerous international awards.
Dr. Bela is the author of "The Universe of Music" - both a book and an integrative education curriculum distributed globally by World Trust Network, which draws analogies between the inner mechanisms of music and astrophysics, quantum mechanics, and chemistry.
He has served on the faculty of several American universities, and is the founder and director of the Nashville-based music academy and talent development agency Ezra Entertainment Education.
